TOTAL is acutely aware of the need for environmental protection and sustainable development and has developed a complete range of lubricants primarily intended for activities that can present direct risks for the environment if the product leaks or is accidentally spilled.
Biolubricants are preferred for all applications that may present risks for the environment, such as:
• Lost oils (chainsaw chain oils, 2-stroke engine oils, formwork
release agents and greases)
• Oils that may leak accidentally (hydraulic oils, oils for engines, gearboxes, axles, etc.)
Several eco-labels are used to distinguish those products from conventional lubricants. The eco-label released in 2004 is the most commonly accepted, and TOTAL has chosen to use it for its products.
